Athens-Oconee Elected Officials, Prosecutors and Community Advocates to Mark

National Crime Victims’ Rights Week

(Athens/Watkinsville, GA, April 16, 2021) Elected officials including Western Circuit District Attorney Deborah Gonzalez, Victims’ Advocates from both the DA and Solicitor General’s offices and leaders of community-based crime victims’ support organizations will commemorate National Crime Victims’ Rights Week at a short ceremony and information session next week.

Participants will read from a proclamation on the subject issued by Athens-Clarke County Mayor Kelly Girtz and provide information on services and resources from the prosecutors’ offices and community groups, including Project Safe, The Cottage, and ACC-SANE that provide for victims of crime.
